Welcome!

...to Van Nuys High School's JROTC program, where we focus on teaching new and current students how to become better leaders and citizens. Here at VNHS JROTC, we provide cadets with opportunities to learn about themselves and others through our LET (Leadership Education and Training) along with multiple extracurricular teams. In addition to helping maintain fitness, we teach cadets how to build interpersonal and intrapersonal skills which help them beyond school life well into professional and workplace settings. We offer opportunities where students can directly engage in leadership applications through special teams, competitions, staff positions, and more. Our program consists of determined cadets which have allowed us to hold top ranks both within the 8th Brigade and nationally. JROTC provides immeasurable support for our students and memories they will carry throughout the rest of their lives.

NOTE: Anyone is able to sign up to join JROTC. JROTC is . JROTC is not a recruitment program for the military services; there is no military obligation for participating in the JROTC program. However, students successfully completing two or more years in the program may receive advanced promotions upon enlistment into a branch of the armed services.
