Students Achieve at VNHS Tech Arts Academy
Enroll in our 9th grade program to try out robotics, automotive or manufacturing classes while you take academic classes with a cohort of students interested in the technical arts. When you reach the 10th grade you can choose between the three year manufacturing program or the three year automotive engineering progam. 11th and 12th grade classes give students powerful entry level skills into many tech arts industries. For over 20 years, the Van Nuys Tech Arts Program has been preparing students for college and careers in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. The Tech Arts Program provides hands-on internships, industry networks, opportunities for scholarships, and visits to local colleges. As part of the the Linked Learning network, VNTAP students are given ample opportunity to explore a wide variety of options within the fields of auto and manufacuturing.
Van Nuys Tech Arts programs work regularly with the Greater Los Angeles Association Auto Dealers Association, the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the National Machining Association, Pearce College, Valley College, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the Center for Powerful Public Schools. We have pathways to engineering programs as well as pathways to high paying jobs. We are articulated with all the local junior colleges as well as with many local universities.
