For Parents
Hello Wolf Pack!
Dear Students,
We are very excited and are looking forward to welcoming new and returning students to Van Nuys High School this fall semester. Our committed faculty members, administrators, and office staff have worked hard to ensure our school community is ready to meet the challenges of the year ahead. We are especially thrilled to welcome our incoming 9th grade Class of 2029 to the start of your high school journey at Van Nuys! As you embark on this exciting new chapter, we want to assure you that our school is a place where academic excellence and personal growth go hand in hand.
Our goal is to provide you with a challenging and enriching educational experience. We expect all students to attend classes regularly and be punctual, participate actively in class discussions and activities, complete assignments on time and to the best of your ability, and most importantly, strive for excellence in all subjects and seek to continually improve. If you're struggling with coursework, personal challenges, or just need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to reach out. Remember, it's okay to ask for help! Our teachers and counselors are here to support you.
At VNHS, we pride ourselves on fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. We expect students to treat peers, staff, and faculty with respect and kindness, follow school rules, contribute to a safe learning environment, be responsible for your actions, and learn from your experiences. We also want to encourage you to get involved in sports and extracurricular activities. These are great ways to meet new friends, develop new skills, and have fun! Whether you're interested in athletics, the arts, or academic clubs, there's something for everyone.
Go Wolf Pack!
