Congratulations to the 60 VNHS students participated this weekend in the History Day LA competition, having spent months researching and creating films, websites, performances, and exhibits on historical topics. 2 groups won Honorable Mention and 8 groups (22 students total) won First Place, advancing to the National History Day-California state competition in Sacramento.
Thank you Ms. Doshi for leading this group and to the incredible chaperones: Mr. Ferrin, Mr. Docter, Mr. Ruppert, and Ms. Duke.

VNHS (10 students - Team A and Team B) competed in LADWP Science Bowl competition in Downtown LA this past Saturday (March 2, 2024). VNHS placed 17th out of 42 student teams from public, charter, and private schools for the buzzer competition. For the hands-on/engineering part of the event, VNHS won First place! Team A members will each receive a 750 dollar scholarship for each student and also won a trophy for the school. Van Nuys have participated in Science Bowl since 1993 and amazing how committed our students have been over the years.
