Mr. Rabago

My goal is to provide my students with real-world problem solving skills that they can use throughout their adult lives.  Each class is geared toward completing the math standards and setting each student up for success in their next math class and beyond.  Through posters and presentations, students are able to experience project-based learning in my class in addition to traditional instruction.  They are able to show their collaboration skills with problem-solving tasks that are given to them throughout the semester.  Our positive growth mindset in the classroom helps all students build their confidence in a subject that at times can be difficult, but can be grasped by students with resilience, determination, and those that are comfortable in learning from their mistakes.

Greetings, my name is Colin Rabago.  I am a mathematical educational influencer.  I am originally from Merced, CA.  In school, math was my favorite subject, so I hope to make the subject more applicable to the daily lives of my students.  I grew up playing soccer and tennis, so when I came to Van Nuys High School in 2022, I was excited to help grow the tennis program.  I am the assistant tennis coach for our boys/girls tennis team and our team this year made it to #3 overall in LAUSD in the open division.  I hope to impart the skills that I have obtained and share them with my students, so that they can prosper in the future--in their acquisition of knowledge and skills in athletics.
