Biography

My name is Katherine Alarcon, I have two beautiful children and I am married to a wonderful husband. I graduated from UCSB with a BA and went to CSUN for my teaching credential in English as a single subject. I have been teaching for the last 10 years with LAUSD. English has been a passion for me since I, myself, was in high school. I am the club sponsor for the Creative Writing Club and Dungeons and Dragons Club (yes it is a thing!), we meet weekly. I have been with Van Nuys for about 5 years now and it is a great school that offers a plethora of programs and rigorous classes that will help engage your children while simultaneously preparing them for college and beyond.
