Ms. Elizabeth Torres
About Me
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Torres, and I am the Magnet Coordinator for the Medical Magnet and the Science/Technology/Math Magnet. I have been the Magnet coordinator since Spring 2023. Prior to that, I was a math teacher at Van Nuys High School since Spring 2007.
I earned my Bachelors in Mathematics from California State University, Northridge. I also hold a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Northridge.
In my position as Magnet Coordinator, I strive to create an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and caring. My goal is to help our community learn about our magnet programs and help them apply.
Outside of school, I enjoy scrapbooking, and hanging out with my kids and husband.
I believe that strong partnerships between students, families, and educators are essential for student success. I look forward to supporting our new and current Van Nuys High School families.
