Medical Careers Magnet

The Medical Magnet program serves as an experiential exploration of the diverse opportunities within the healthcare field. Through our partnership with Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center, students attend seminars at the hospital while developing an understanding of various medical careers and pathways. Students are imminently prepared for university programs as they enter the medical and/or healthcare fields. They have a comprehensive understanding of the diverse medical professions that await, and the compassion and heart necessary to provide exceptional healthcare in their chosen careers. 

Consistently ranked as one of America's Best High Schools, Van Nuys HS has one of the largest Advanced Placement programs in the state with consistently high exam pass rates in LAUSD. Since 1995, our SAT scores have remained amongst the highest in the district, according to US News and World Report. Van Nuys is a Silver Academic Achievement school.
